As autumn approaches, archers across England are getting excited, especially the Cumbria County Squad. On 27 and 28 September 2025, Cumbria will compete at the Archery GB National County Team Championships at the well-known Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Shropshire. This major event in the Archery GB calendar is an opportunity to compete, showcase county pride, foster camaraderie, and celebrate the dedication of archers throughout the season.

For many archers in Cumbria, this competition is more than a target score. It is:

  • A chance to represent the county in one of the biggest team tournaments in UK archery.
  • An opportunity to test skills under pressure, especially with head‑to‑head matches and mixed team events.
  • A way to connect with fellow archers from across Cumbria, sharing experiences, training, nerves, and ultimately, triumphs.
  • A benchmark: the cumulative scores across tiers, mixed teams, and regular teams decide overall standing, so every arrow counts.

Join me in wishing the Cumbria squad every success at Lilleshall. Let’s pull together, aim true, and show what Cumbria archery can do!
